Czech Television to air new rural detective miniseries “Hec” this autumn

Czech Television announced the launch of a six‑episode detective miniseries called Hec, scheduled for broadcast in the autumn of 2026. The series, written and directed by Michal Samir, mixes a criminal investigation with a family drama set in the fictional rural village of Kouty, where the discovery of a body in a ruined wooden church shakes the tight‑knit community.

Hec is produced by Up&Up Production for Czech Television, with creative producer Alena Müllerová highlighting its psychological depth and generational conflict. The cast includes Petra Hřebíčková, Juraj Loj, Stanislav Majer, Milena Steinmasslová, Jan Hájek, Jana Plodková, Jaromír Dulava, Tomáš Jeřábek, among others. Filming took place in locations such as Louchov and Domašín in the Chomutov district, emphasizing the series’ rural atmosphere.
