Czech Tour to Feature Elite WorldTour Teams on Its Toughest Route

The 2024 Czech Tour, upgraded to a UCI ProSeries event, will run from 13 to 16 August across four stages covering roughly 650 km and nearly 10,000 m of climbing. The route starts in Prague, heads to Karlovy Vary, then from Mladá Boleslav to Ještěd, Pardubice to Dlouhé Stráně, and finishes with a stage from Kroměříž to Pustevny.

Organiser Leopold König confirmed participation from top WorldTour squads, including Red Bull‑BORA‑hansgrohe, Soudal Quick‑Step, Netcompany INEOS, NSN Cycling Team and others such as Caja Rural and Equipo Kern Pharma. Notable riders named are Czech climber Jan Hirt, Spanish Grand Tour veteran Mike Landa, and Tour de France stage winner Tim Merlier, with Anthony Turgis also slated to race. The edition is billed as the most demanding in the race’s history, aiming to raise its international profile.
