Czech wineries secure top honors in regional wine competitions

Several Czech wineries have achieved significant recognition in recent regional wine competitions. Rodinné vinařství Skoupil from Velké Bílovice was named champion of the Velkopavlovice wine region. Their Tramín červený Úlehle 2024 won in the category of dry white wines, earning a special prize consisting of a French oak barrel from the town of Hustopeče.

In the Top 77 wines competition held in Brno, Moravčíkova vína from Horní Věstonice received the Eduard Postbiegl award for the best wine collection. Their Pinot Noir (Rulandské modré) received a five-star rating, while their Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Moravia samples earned four stars.

Additionally, Salay Winery from Velké Bílovice successfully defended its title for the best wine collection in the Velkopavlovice sub-region. Other notable winners include Zámecké vinařství Bzenec for the Slovácko region and Sedlecká vína for the Mikulov region.
