Czechoslovak Group to Build Drone Engine Production Facility in Wisconsin

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) announced that a joint venture, Firecrest Aerospace—formed by CSE USA and AviaNera Technologies—will begin series production of turbofan and turbojet engines for unmanned aerial vehicles and other defence systems at a new plant in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The initial investment is up to $15 million, with the first engines to be assembled within months and full‑scale production of several thousand units per year targeted for 2027.

In parallel, CSG completed a €3.062 billion refinancing of its credit lines, lowering annual interest expenses by roughly €20 million (125‑150 basis points) and extending debt maturities. The company reaffirmed its target of keeping net debt below 1.3 times EBITDA for FY 2026. The financing underpins the U.S. expansion and supports CSG’s broader strategy to become a global supplier of propulsion units for unmanned platforms across multiple continents. "This investment is a key step toward building strong capabilities for advanced propulsion production in the United States," said Michal Strnad, chairman of CSG's board.
