Czinger, Spyker, and Hennessey unveil new hypercar models
Several high-end automotive manufacturers have unveiled new hypercar models during Monterey Car Week.
Czinger Vehicles introduced the 21C Spyder, an open-top hybrid hypercar produced in Los Angeles. The vehicle features a 2.88-liter twin-turbocharged V8 combined with three electric motors, producing a total of 1,250 hp. It utilizes 3D-printed technology, including the ‘BrakeNode’ system which integrates brake calipers and suspension components to reduce unsprung mass and improve stopping distances by up to 15 percent. Only 30 units will be produced, with a starting price of $2.75 million.
Spyker unveiled the C8 Preliator XXV, which marks the final iteration of the brand’s V8 supercar line. The model features a handmade aluminum body with aviation-inspired rose gold accents and is powered by an Audi-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering approximately 788-800 hp. It utilizes a six-speed manual transmission and can reach speeds of 349 km/h.
Hennessey Special Vehicles announced the Blackbird, an analog-focused hypercar inspired by the SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft. Designed to prioritize driver engagement, it will feature a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 producing between 800 and 850 hp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and no digital screens. Production is limited to 71 units, with expected delivery between 2029 and 2030.
