High-end hypercar industry developments

Overview

The high-end automotive sector has seen a series of new model unveilings and performance evaluations. During Monterey Car Week, manufacturers Czinger, Spyker, and Hennessey introduced new hypercars. Czinger unveiled the 21C Spyder, a 3D-printed hybrid utilizing a ‘BrakeNode’ system; Spyker introduced the C8 Preliator XXV, the final iteration of its V8 line; and Hennessey announced the analog-focused Blackbird.

Following these releases, the industry saw further activity with the introduction of the Mansory Centuria, a $5 million carbon fiber modification of the Bugatti Chiron. Additionally, performance testing near Dubai compared the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport against the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack. While the Bugatti showed better traction in standing starts, the Jesko Attack demonstrated strength in rolling starts, resulting in a narrow margin for the Bugatti in a 400m sprint.
