Częstochowa senior coffee program resumes; Czermin Seniorfest showcases elder talent
The Municipal Social Assistance Center in Częstochowa relaunched the 16th edition of the "Kawiarenka dla Seniora" on 7 July. Seniors aged 60 and over can purchase coffee or tea for a symbolic 2 zł using coupons issued on Tuesdays from 10:00‑13:00. Nine local cafés and restaurants participate, offering a social venue to reduce loneliness and encourage community engagement.
In the nearby village of Czermin, the "Seniorfest" arts gathering featured dozens of senior participants presenting musical and performance talents. The event highlighted local cultural activity among older residents, with photographs documenting the lively programme.
Both initiatives aim to foster social interaction and active ageing among Polish seniors through affordable outings and public performances.
