Łódź Airport audit flags management and expense irregularities

An audit commissioned by the Łódź City Hall has identified irregularities regarding the management and expenses of the Łódź Airport. The investigation, which covered costs from 2024 and the first five months of 2025, raised concerns about the frequency of business trips taken by CEO Anna Midera, who reportedly spent approximately 110 days on delegation in 2024.

Additionally, the report questioned certain expenditures, including bills for meetings held at establishments on Piotrkowskiej Street, some occurring after midnight. The City Hall expressed dissatisfaction with the findings and is currently analyzing the document to determine if corrective actions or consequences for responsible individuals are necessary.

The airport management has issued a statement defending its operations. They noted that detailed explanations were provided to the city in December 2025 and that the Supervisory Board, which is mostly composed of city representatives, did not confirm the alleged irregularities. Regarding the CEO's travel, the board stated that actual duties performed away from the company headquarters accounted for less than 25% of working time and emphasized that management duties often extend beyond standard working hours without additional compensation.
