Infrastructure projects underway across Czech Republic and Slovakia

Multiple infrastructure projects are underway across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, involving significant bridge and highway repairs.

In Břeclav, Czech Republic, a new bridge on road I/55 has been completed following a technically challenging reconstruction. The project, costing 86.78 million CZK, replaces a 70-year-old structure and includes provisions for future expansion. In the Czech Republic, major works have also begun on the D11 highway between Poděbrady and Sadská, a 757 million CZK project to replace 14 kilometers of surface, and on the Prague Ring Road to improve noise reduction and grip.

In Slovakia, preparations have begun for the reconstruction of the Mládežnícka Street bridge in Banská Bystrica, a project funded partly by EU funds to improve safety and add pedestrian walkways. Additionally, work is commencing on the D2 motorway junction at Dúbravka near Bratislava, which will involve temporary lane narrowings and night closures.
