Día de Muertos celebrations announced in Mexico and California

Various cultural celebrations for Día de Muertos are scheduled for October 2026 in Mexico and the United States.

In Mexico City, NFL México will host “Hasta La Muerte” from October 16 to 18 at Casa Colours in the Roma Norte neighborhood. This immersive experience integrates American football with Day of the Dead traditions through art, offerings, and cultural activities. The event will feature altars created by official fan clubs dedicated to NFL global market teams, a commemorative mural, and visual interventions designed by illustrator Carolina “Chabaski” Martínez. The experience includes themed workshops and photographic settings.

In Lynwood, California, Plaza México will hold its “Festival Día de Los Muertos” on October 31. The festivities include an Aztec dance ceremony, live mariachi music, and costume contests. The celebration will feature cultural exhibits, community altars provided by Fundación Jalisco, and traditional Mexican food and handcrafted items from various vendors.
