Vietnam is actively advancing various large-scale infrastructure and energy projects to support economic growth. In the energy sector, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has held meetings to review the progress of national key energy projects, noting that while many have progressed, some still face delays that could impact national energy security for 2028-2030. Key developments include the Quang Ninh LNG power plant and various 220kV transmission lines.

International cooperation is also a major focus. China Eximbank has indicated its intention to arrange $6.5 billion in loans for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project, which has a total estimated investment of $10.8 billion. Additionally, PowerChina, a major Chinese state-owned enterprise, expressed interest in expanding its investment in Vietnam, particularly in energy and infrastructure, following its 20-year history in the country. On the diplomatic front, Vietnam is working to expand trade and investment cooperation with Russia, prioritizing high-tech and energy sectors.

Domestic urban and social infrastructure projects are also underway, including social housing developments in various provinces, a $30 billion renovation project for the West Lake area in Hanoi, and airport runway upgrades in Da Nang.
