Da Nang bridges stalled as road connections remain incomplete

Da Nang city reports that 21 bridge projects are awaiting road links, limiting their utility and wasting public investment. The Project Management Board oversees 14 of these works, while seven are handled by local agencies. Many bridges are finished, but access roads are delayed due to land‑acquisition bottlenecks and material cost spikes.

Key bridges include Quảng Đà, completed but without a connecting road; An Bình slated for July 2026; Sông Thu before 30 Sept 2026; Văn Ly by end‑2026; Nghĩa Tự slated for 30 Dec 2026 with full completion in mid‑2027; and Tam Hòa expected March 2027 after one household clears. The Quế Son corridor of three bridges and a connecting road, valued at nearly VND 340 billion, has reached only 36% of its contract value, hindered by land‑clearance and permit issues. Other sites such as Tây An 1‑2 and the flood‑avoidance road are at 54% progress, with 17 households still awaiting compensation. Tam Tiến shows 45% work completed, but 29 land parcels and three cases remain unresolved. The northern beltway bridge Quảng Đà, a VND 376 billion project, has delivered just over half of its planned road area.
