Da Nang business owner prosecuted for tax evasion

Police in Da Nang have initiated criminal proceedings against H. T. T., a 33-year-old business owner specializing in the supply of beer and soft drinks. The investigation revealed that between 2025 and March 2026, the business generated over 12.9 billion VND in revenue but failed to declare it for tax purposes.

The estimated amount of evaded taxes exceeds 176 million VND. Following an investigation by the Dai Loc commune police and the Da Nang City Police, authorities issued decisions to prosecute the individual for tax evasion under Clause 1, Article 200 of the Penal Code.

Law enforcement officials have issued a warning to all organizations and individuals engaged in production and business activities to strictly comply with tax regulations, noting that intentional concealment of revenue or fraudulent tactics will be prosecuted according to the law.
