Da Nang international financial centre joins sustainability network
The Vietnam International Financial Centre in Da Nang (VIFC-DN) has officially joined the Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) network, a group coordinated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The announcement followed a meeting in New York between a Da Nang delegation, led by People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Manh Hung, and UNDP officials.
Da Nang aims to develop a modern financial ecosystem focusing on fund and asset management, green finance, carbon markets, commodity exchanges, and fintech. The city seeks to leverage this center to connect international capital with Vietnamese investment opportunities, particularly in strategic infrastructure, energy, digital transformation, and climate change adaptation.
The development is supported by a legal framework established through National Assembly Resolution No. 222/2025/QH15. By joining the FC4S network at an early stage, VIFC-DN intends to access international standards and mobilize resources for sustainable urban development and the green transition.
