Da Nang officials order acceleration of public investment disbursement

The Da Nang People's Committee has issued an urgent directive to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital. As of August 17, the city has disbursed 8,218.03 billion VND, representing 50.88% of its 16,152.95 billion VND annual plan. This figure falls significantly short of the 72% target expected by the end of August.

Chairman Nguyen Manh Hung has called for the immediate resolution of bottlenecks, specifically targeting issues in compensation, site clearance, construction materials, and contractor capacity. The directive emphasizes the need to finalize acceptance and payment procedures to recover 5,006.64 billion VND in unrecovered advances held by ten major units. Currently, 648 projects in the city are underway but have yet to record any disbursement, including critical works in transportation, digital infrastructure, schools, and climate change adaptation.
