Da Nang Party Secretary Lê Ngọc Quang urges rapid removal of stalled projects

On 16 July, Da Đang Party Secretary Lê Ngọc Quang led a delegation of National Assembly representatives to inspect several high‑profile projects that have been delayed, including the Golden Hills City eco‑urban area, the Da Đang Downtown mixed‑use complex, the Chi Lăng stadium commercial hub, a riverbank protection scheme on the Thu Bồn River, and coastal erosion work in Hội An. He called for “quick removal and decisive handling” of legal and procedural obstacles, stressing that clearing these issues will unblock investment, boost employment and support the city’s tourism and service sectors.

Quang also addressed broader investment bottlenecks, noting that by 30 June the city had disbursed only 41.5% of its planned public‑investment budget for 2026, hindered by high material costs, land‑acquisition disputes and cumbersome paperwork. He urged the Finance Department to cut unnecessary procedures, prevent “circular filing,” and reallocate funds from projects that remain stalled. The Golden Hills City project, after a recent adjustment, will increase its total capital from about VND 4.4 trillion to nearly VND 15.5 trillion and is slated to restart construction in August.
