Da Nang police prosecute 25 youths after TikTok-fueled street brawl
Da Nang police have prosecuted 25 individuals for “disturbing public order” following a violent street brawl triggered by provocations on TikTok. The incident occurred in the early hours of August 24, involving two groups of youths from Thang An and Tam Ky.
According to investigators, the groups engaged in high-speed chases and clashes across several routes, including Nguyen Tat Thanh and Vo Chi Cong. The participants used various weapons, including knives, spears, slingshots, pepper spray, and stones. During the chaos, one individual was stabbed multiple times in the back, and others sustained head injuries.
Beyond the initial conflict, some participants reportedly attacked six uninvolved bystanders, causing injuries and damaging vehicles. The groups also intercepted other motorcyclists to steal vehicles. Police have seized multiple weapons and nine motorcycles as the investigation into the specific roles of each defendant continues.
