Da Nang to launch Vietnam International Financial Center in 2026
Da Nang is preparing to launch the office of the Vietnam International Financial Center (VIFC-DN) in January 2026. The center aims to position the city as a specialized hub for fintech, wealth management, and green finance, leveraging its tourism infrastructure and digital environment.
To support this growth, the city has signed over 20 memorandums of understanding with partners including Binance, Tether, Bybit, and the Swiss Fintech Association. The administrative headquarters, spanning over 4,000 square meters at Software Park 2, is already complete with 5G and advanced data infrastructure. Between 2026 and 2027, the city plans to develop a financial ecosystem on 18 hectares of coastal land, focusing on digital infrastructure such as AI labs, satellite technology, and semiconductors.
Between 2026 and 2030, Da Nang aims to license 2-3 international asset management companies and establish at least five investment funds. The city targets mobilizing and disbursing between $1 billion and $3 billion in the first two years, with a goal of increasing to $2 billion–$4 billion annually from 2028 to 2030. These funds are intended for key sectors including infrastructure, energy, logistics, semiconductors, and AI. Additionally, the city is researching pilot programs for a commodities exchange and a carbon credit exchange.
