Da Nang tourism surges with Ba Na Hills growth and culinary promotion
Da Nang is experiencing a surge in tourism interest, particularly around the Ba Na Hills complex. Data from the Traveloka SEA Index indicates a 132% increase in ticket bookings for Sun World Ba Na Hills compared to the same period in 2025. The Ba Na - Suoi Mo ecological and urban tourism complex represents a major investment of approximately 52 trillion VND (roughly 2 billion USD), encompassing tourism, commercial, and residential services.
In addition to infrastructure growth, the city is focusing on culinary tourism to enhance its brand. Local authorities and businesses are working to promote Mi Quang, a traditional dish recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam. Efforts are underway to transition from simple dining experiences to cultural journeys that showcase the history and craftsmanship behind the dish, including the development of instant versions to reach a wider audience.
