Dacia expands lineup with new Spring electric and tribrid Duster

Dacia is expanding its vehicle range with the introduction of the new Spring electric model and the Duster tribrid.

The Duster tribrid features a three-cylinder engine that alternates between gasoline and LPG, paired with a 48V electric motor on the rear axle to provide all-wheel drive. This configuration allows for a theoretical range of up to 1,500 km under WLTP conditions, with real-world estimates suggesting a combined range of approximately 1,350 km. The vehicle uses a small 0.84 kWh battery that charges via recuperation during braking.

The second-generation Dacia Spring is a compact electric vehicle designed for urban use. It is equipped with an 80 CV motor and a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a WLTP range of 250 km. Prices for the Spring start at 17,900 euros, while the new crossover models aim to maintain Dacia’s focus on affordability and practical technology.
