Dacia launches Sandero Hybrid 155, priced under €20,000

Dacia has opened orders for the Sandero equipped with the new Hybrid 155 powertrain, the first hybrid version of the model. The hybrid combines a 1.8‑liter, 109 hp gasoline engine with two electric motors (50 hp and a high‑voltage starter‑generator) and a 1.4 kWh battery, transmitted through an automatic gearbox with six ratios – four for the thermal unit and two for the electric drive. Production uses Dacia’s “Made in Spain” technology at the HORSE plant in Valladolid.

The entry‑level Sandero hybrid is priced at €19,890, while the Stepway version starts at €21,290. Official figures show combined fuel consumption of 4.2 l/100 km for the sedan and 4.4 l/100 km for the Stepway, with CO₂ emissions of 96 g/km and 100 g/km respectively. Dacia claims the system can operate in full electric mode for up to 80 % of city driving time.

With a launch price below most competing hybrids such as the MG 3 Hybrid, Toyota Aygo X Cross, Renault Clio e‑Tech and others, the Sandero Hybrid 155 is positioned as the cheapest hybrid small car on the European market. The hybrid model follows Dacia’s earlier electrified offerings – the Jogger (2023), Duster (2024) and Bigster – and already represents about 30 % of the brand’s sales as of May.
