Dacia Striker SUV and Nissan Sub‑€10k Tekton Boost Budget Car Market

Romanian automotive press compared Dacia’s newly announced Striker with the larger Bigster, noting that the Striker sits lower at 1.53 m versus Bigster’s 1.71 m, offers a 600‑litre boot compared with 660 litres, and is positioned at a lower price point starting around €24,990. The analysis highlighted the Striker’s more sedan‑like driving position and interior finishes, while the Bigster retains a higher SUV stance and optional panoramic roof.

In parallel, Nissan unveiled the Tekton, a sub‑€10,000 compact SUV built on the same platform as the Dacia Duster. Powered by a 1.0‑litre turbo‑three producing about 100 hp, it is aimed at markets in India, the Middle East and Africa and will not be sold in Europe.
