Dacia unveils 155 hp full‑hybrid Sandero Stepway for European market

Dacia has added a full‑hybrid powertrain to the Sandero Stepway, branding it Hybrid 155. The system pairs a 1.8‑litre gasoline engine (109 hp) with two electric motors – one delivering 49 hp to the wheels and a second acting as a generator – for a combined output of 155 hp. Dacia reports an official fuel consumption of 4.2 L per 100 km.

The new hybrid is initially offered in the Expression and Extreme trims. In Italy it starts at €20,800 for the Expression version and €21,900 for the Extreme version, with additional equipment such as 16‑inch alloy wheels, a 10‑inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and advanced driver‑assist features. Dacia plans to extend the model to other European markets, including an upcoming launch in Poland, positioning it against the Toyota Yaris hybrid segment.

The introduction expands Dacia’s hybrid lineup, which already includes the Bigster, Duster and Jogger, and signals the brand’s strategy to compete with established small‑car hybrids by offering more power at a lower price point.
