Dacia unveils ultra‑compact Hipster electric concept on Paris streets

Romanian automaker Dacia placed its Hipster Concept, a fully electric ultra‑compact city car, on the streets of Paris for public testing. The prototype, registered temporarily as a test vehicle, is the only example built so far and was showcased by French publication l'Argus, which recorded reactions from passers‑by who described it as futuristic, compact and reminiscent of a mini‑Duster.

The Hipster measures about three metres in length, weighs under 800 kg and can seat four occupants. It offers a flexible interior with storage ranging from 70 L to 500 L, an estimated range of roughly 100 km, and can be charged from a standard household socket, with two weekly charges sufficient for daily urban use. Dacia has not yet decided on series production, positioning the model as a low‑carbon, affordable alternative to Asian ultra‑compact electric cars.
