The selected masters are Jeong Han-cheol (food processing), Ra Young-tae (ceramic arts), and Lee Hyeong-deok (baking and confectionery). The selection followed a three-month evaluation process involving document reviews, field inspections, and interviews conducted by a committee of experts.
Jeong Han-cheol has been active in food processing since 1995 and has received various national honors for his technical skills and community service. Ra Young-tae has specialized in ceramic arts since 1991 and has contributed to the development of local craft souvenirs. Lee Hyeong-deok has worked in the baking and confectionery field since 2000 and has won numerous international and domestic awards.
The honorees will receive certificates, plaques, and an annual incentive of 3 million won for five years. Since the program's inception in 2019, Daejeon has selected a total of 21 masters.
