Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid ACTIVe showcased at GIIAS 2026

The Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid ACTIVe, a styling exercise, was displayed at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The concept car features a bold blue‑chameleon and glossy lemon‑yellow paint scheme with custom decals, and interior accents in matching colours on the centre console, door handles, air‑vent surrounds and seats.

The Rocky Hybrid is the first Daihatsu hybrid introduced in Indonesia in 2025, using the company’s “Real Series Hybrid” system: a 1.2 L WA‑VEX Atkinson‑cycle engine acts as a generator for the electric motor, delivering 106 PS and 170 Nm, fuel‑efficiency of 28‑34.8 km/L (JC08), and a 0‑100 km/h time of about 10 seconds. Safety equipment includes six SRS airbags, ABS, EBD, VSC, hill‑start assist, blind‑spot mirror, ISOFIX and advanced driver‑assist functions such as collision‑warning and lane‑departure control. The vehicle is a CBU from Japan and is not for sale, intended to inspire owners. The article also notes that Perodua has confirmed a hybrid version of its Ativa model for the Malaysian market.
