Daito Trust Construction launches urban development project and migration rankings

Daito Trust Construction has announced the launch of the “Takaoka Ejiri Center Project” in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. This marks the company’s first initiative in community-based urban development. The project involves constructing a two-story mixed-use facility scheduled to open in 2027. The site will include 15 rental housing units, a daycare service for approximately 40 people, a bakery cafe, and community spaces. The company plans to establish a general incorporated association this autumn to manage events and area management.

Separately, Daito Trust Construction released its 2026 “Livability Ranking of Towns Chosen by Migrants.” Higashikawa in Hokkaido ranked first for the second consecutive year, followed by Hara Village in Nagano and Chatan in Okinawa. The survey, based on data from over 447,000 migrants, indicates that towns with high levels of “approachability” and environments where newcomers can easily integrate tend to rank higher.
