In the national rankings, Higashikawa in Hokkaido secured first place for the second consecutive year, noted for its community friendliness and groundwater resources. Hara Village in Nagano ranked second, and Chatan in Okinawa ranked third. Within Okinawa, Chatan was named the most livable town for the eighth consecutive year, while Naha remained the most desired city for relocation.

In a separate announcement, Daito Trust Construction launched the ‘Takaoka Ejiri Center Project’ in Toyama Prefecture. This community-based urban development initiative involves constructing a mixed-use facility scheduled to open in 2027, featuring rental housing, daycare services, and community spaces.
