Dak Lak authorities intensify patrols against overloaded vehicles

Traffic police in Dak Lak province are intensifying patrols on key routes to crack down on oversized and overloaded vehicles. The initiative aims to ensure road safety and protect road infrastructure.

Recent enforcement actions have resulted in significant penalties. On August 22, a tractor-trailer on route DT642 was found to be carrying 51.9% more load than permitted, resulting in fines totaling 52 million VND for the driver and the transport cooperative. Additionally, on National Highway 29, authorities intercepted two tractor-trailers exceeding weight limits by over 150% and 164%, respectively, leading to substantial fines for both drivers and business owners.
