Dak Lak authorities propose border population stabilization project

The Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command has proposed a project to plan and stabilize the population in the Ia Rve commune border area. The project is designed to implement the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 99-KL/TW regarding the construction of a people's border defense and national defense posture.

The initiative is divided into two phases spanning from 2026 to 2035. The first phase (2026–2030) focuses on upgrading internal transport routes, constructing essential infrastructure such as kindergartens, primary school branches, medical stations, and community houses, and supporting 50 households with housing and agricultural development. This phase has an estimated investment of over 134.5 billion VND.

The second phase (2030–2035) aims to stabilize an additional 50 households by providing housing and livelihood support, with a projected investment of 79 billion VND. Funding for the project will be provided by the State budget through the Ministry of National Defense.
