Dak Lak orders review after 779 million VND policy payment error

The Dak Lak Department of Home Affairs has ordered a comprehensive review of policy implementation for officials, civil servants, and employees following the discovery of nearly 779 million VND in erroneous payments under Decree 178/2024/ND-CP.

This directive follows findings from the State Audit of Vietnam regarding errors in resolving benefits during organizational restructuring. The review aims to rectify existing issues and ensure that all policy applications comply with the correct subjects, conditions, and procedures as stipulated by Decree 178 and its amendment, Decree 67/2025/ND-CP.

Local agencies and units are required to examine not only the specific cases identified by the State Audit but also any similar instances. Direct management units must review all documentation to clarify responsibilities in determining eligibility for resignation policies. Any discovered ineligible cases must be reported to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee through the Department of Home Affairs for handling. All findings must be submitted by September 8, 2026.
