Dakar judges charge two individuals in 2021-2024 investigation

Judges at the Dakar High Court are continuing their investigation into events occurring between 2021 and 2024. Two individuals, Amadou Tidiane Cissé (known as ‘Kabakrou’), the security chief for the Dakar University Works Center (Coud), and Djibril Diaw, a security guard for former minister Pape Malick Ndour, have been charged.

While the public prosecutor had requested their immediate detention on charges including criminal association, crimes against humanity, and acts of torture, the judges opted for a different course of action. The charges against both men were reclassified to complicity. Amadou Tidiane Cissé has been placed under judicial supervision, while Djibril Diaw has been placed under electronic monitoring.
