Overview

Judges at the Dakar High Court are conducting an investigation into events occurring between 2021 and 2024. Two individuals, Amadou Tidiane Cissé, security chief for the Dakar University Works Center, and Djibril Diaw, a security guard for former minister Pape Malick Ndour, have been charged.

Although the public prosecutor requested immediate detention on charges including “criminal association, crimes against humanity, and acts of torture,” the judges reclassified the charges to complicity. Cissé has been placed under judicial supervision, while Diaw is under electronic monitoring.
