Dallas and Nuevo Laredo brace for extreme summer heat

A heat forecast for Dallas, Texas, predicts a high of 95 °F (35 °C) on Friday, June 26, with just a 1‑2 % chance of rain and wind gusts near 15 mph. Overnight temperatures are expected around 77 °F (25 °C).

In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, civil‑protection officials warned that temperatures will range between 42 °C and 44 °C (108‑111 °F) over the next three months, with heat‑index readings that could reach 50 °C (122 °F). Health officials advised residents to stay hydrated with water or natural fruit juices and to avoid excessive consumption of sports drinks, sugary beverages, alcohol, and prolonged sun exposure.

Both regions are urging residents to take precautions as the summer heat intensifies.
