Governor of Egypt's Damietta governorate, Dr. Hossam El‑Din Fawzy, announced that all necessary steps are being taken to start the presidential "Hayat Karima" initiative in the centers of Damietta and Al‑Zarka without delay. The program, aimed at upgrading villages, includes building modern markets, model parking facilities and fire‑safety points.
Deputy Governor Dr. Mohammed Fawzy led field inspections of the proposed sites, checking land readiness, addressing any obstacles and collecting residents' suggestions. The visits covered villages such as Seif Al‑Din, Al‑Kashif Al‑Jadid, Sharm Sah and Mit Al‑Khouli, where plots for upgraded markets and parking have been earmarked. Officials emphasised rapid coordination with relevant agencies to resolve complaints and accelerate construction, positioning the project as a top priority for improving rural quality of life and sustainable development in Egypt.
