Kaik Brito earns UFC contract with spectacular knockout at Contender Series

During the second week of Season 10 of Dana White’s Contender Series at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, several fighters secured UFC contracts following high-impact performances.

In the main event, Kaik Brito earned a contract by knocking out Namo Fazil with a right hand just 12 seconds into the third round. Brito, a former OKTAGON welterweight champion, successfully secured a second chance at the series after a previous loss in 2023. He noted that he intentionally timed the knockout to occur in front of UFC President Dana White.

In the co-main event, Trent Miller secured a deal by submitting Douglas Rodrigues with a Von Flue choke in the second round. Miller, entering as a significant underdog, redeemed himself following a stoppage loss in his previous Contender Series appearance.

Other fighters receiving UFC contracts from the event included Cristian Perez, Alik Lorenz, Roman Puga, and Taner Trembley. The night featured multiple finishes, including knockouts by Perez and Lorenz, and a unanimous decision victory for Puga.
