UFC Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10

Overview

Season 10 of Dana White’s Contender Series at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas has continued to award UFC contracts through high-impact performances. Following the Week 4 signings of Adam Darby, Modestino Rodrigues, Silvestre Sanchez, and Gabriel Lorenco, Week 5 featured a lineup of five undefeated fighters. In the Week 5 main event, light heavyweight Quentin Pasley improved his record to 4-0 by defeating Arlind Berisha via TKO. Pasley utilized heavy elbows from a top position to secure the win, prompting Dana White to compare the 24-year-old to Jon Jones. Other contract winners from the Week 5 card included Isaac Moreno, who earned a unanimous decision victory over Reginaldo Junior, and Martin Kozak, who defeated Christian Echols. Kozak leveraged a significant size advantage during the bout, which followed Echols missing weight by four pounds. Additionally, Christian Natividad secured a contract following a first-round TKO victory over Colton Loude in the flyweight division. Week 6 resulted in four additional contracts awarded to Mayton Perea, Igor Cavalcanti, Akbar Abdullaev, and Luis Hernandez. Abdullaev received notable praise from White, who described him as ‘the greatest talent that’s ever been on this show,’ following a 19-second knockout victory. Perea earned his contract via TKO against Zevan Hunt, while Cavalcanti secured a first-round TKO over Oscar Ravello. Although Tyshawn Williams won his matchup against Antônio Monteiro, he did not receive a contract, though White indicated Williams would be offered another opportunity later this season. This brings the total number of fighters signed during the current season to 28. During Week 7, Dana White awarded six new contracts. In a rare occurrence for the program, White awarded contracts to both the winner and the loser of two separate fights due to the high level of competition. In Week 8, four more fighters secured contracts.
