Danantara merger creates Indonesia's largest state‑owned asset manager

Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) officially merged four state‑owned asset‑management firms—PNM Investment Management, BNI Asset Management, BRI Investment Management and Mandiri Manajemen Investasi—into a single entity, with Mandiri Manajemen Investasi designated as the surviving company. The consolidation was approved at a meeting on 7 July 2026 attended by Danantara CEO and Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani, COO and BP BUMN head Dony Oskaria, and CIO Pandu Sjahrir, and announced on 8 July 2026.

The merger is intended to streamline governance, improve efficiency, and boost productivity of Indonesia’s state‑owned assets. Danantara aims to create an integrated, professional platform that can better manage the national asset portfolio, attract investment and generate greater value for the country’s economic development.
