Details have emerged regarding a confrontation between influencer Daneidy Barrera, known as Epa Colombia, and former congressman Wadith Manzur at the Carabineros School in Bogotá. Both individuals were being held in custody at the time of the incident, which occurred on August 7 during visiting hours.

The dispute reportedly began when Manzur questioned a custodian regarding a closed curtain in the room occupied by Barrera and her partner. This led to a verbal exchange between Barrera and Manzur, which was captured on video. The situation escalated when a uniformed officer intervened, ordering the curtain to be opened and a mobile phone to be surrendered, as cell phone use is restricted for detainees.

During the altercation, Barrera alleged she was experiencing “persecution and psychological torture.” The incident has since prompted investigations by the Procuraduría and the Defensoría del Pueblo. Following the event, Barrera was transferred to the Picaleña prison in Ibagué, while Manzur was transferred to La Picota on September 16.
