During the altercation, Barrera alleged she was experiencing “persecution and psychological torture.” The incident has prompted investigations by the Procuraduría and the Defensoría del Pueblo. Following the event, Barrera was transferred to the Picaleña prison in Ibagué, while Manzur was transferred to La Picota on September 16.
