Dangote Cement Posts H1 Profit Surge and Expands Green Logistics Fleet
Dangote Cement Plc announced first‑half 2026 results showing a 22.7% rise in profit after tax to ₦638.5 billion, with revenue up 21.4% to ₦2.514 trillion and EBITDA increasing 25.8% to ₦1.188 trillion. Export volumes jumped 62.3% to 1.1 million tonnes, and the company dispatched 20 clinker ships to Ghana, Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire. The firm also highlighted its sustainability drive, adding a further 1,500 compressed natural‑gas (CNG) trucks to its fleet and upgrading its Carbon Disclosure Project rating to a “B” for climate and water management. CEO Arvind Pathak said the results reflect strong market demand, disciplined execution and a commitment to lower‑carbon operations across Dangote’s ten African markets.
