TV Globo announces new telenovelas and programming updates

TV Globo has announced several major programming updates for its upcoming seasons. The network confirmed that the 2022 remake of 'Pantanal' will succeed 'Avenida Brasil' in the 'Vale a Pena Ver de Novo' rerun slot, following strategic analysis to maintain afternoon viewership.

In prime-time news, 'Avenida Brasil 2' is set to premiere in January 2027, featuring returning stars Adriana Esteves, Murilo Benício, and Débora Falabella, alongside a diverse cast of digital influencers and new actors. Additionally, the network is preparing 'Romance em SP' to revive the 11 p.m. time slot in 2027, starring Marina Ruy Barbosa as an app driver.

Other upcoming productions include 'Lá na Minha Terra', a 6 p.m. novela starring Dira Paes, and 'Tempos de Glória', featuring Maisa Silva as a female footballer in the 1940s. The reality show 'BBB 27' is scheduled to debut on January 11, 2027, with updated game dynamics including a revamped 'Sincerão' segment and new elimination formats.
