Daniil Medvedev wins Hangzhou Open title
Daniil Medvedev won the ATP 250 Hangzhou Open by defeating compatriot and friend Andrey Rublev in the final with a score of 7-5, 6-4. The victory marks Medvedev’s third title of the 2026 season, following wins in Brisbane and Dubai, and his 24th career ATP title.
Medvedev demonstrated a dominant serve during the 93-minute match, recording 23 aces. This win also highlights a unique career statistic: 23 of his 24 titles have been won in different cities, with Dubai being the only repeat location.
In the tournament, Medvedev defeated Valentin Royer, Coleman Wong, and Roman Safiullin before facing Rublev in the final. The win strengthens his position in the race for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. Rublev, currently ranked 24th, reached his first Hangzhou final during this event.
