Danilovgrad shooting range triple homicide investigation continues

The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica is conducting an investigation into a triple homicide that occurred on August 31 at the ‘Češka zbrojovka’ shooting range in Danilovgrad. The suspect, 30-year-old Russian citizen Mihail Nikolaevič Šabunjin, killed three employees: Nemanja Kapor, Petar Globarević, and Momir Radonjić.

Following the killings, Šabunjin fled in a vehicle belonging to one of the victims. After a police search, the vehicle was located in Rogami, and the suspect reached Herceg Novi by taxi. He was eventually located and surrounded by police and Montenegrin military air support in a forest near Topla. During the confrontation, Šabunjin fired at police before committing suicide.

While no separate criminal case has been opened regarding the operation of the shooting range, the Prosecutor's Office has issued verbal orders to the Police Administration to conduct detailed checks to identify any potential security failures or relevant facts.
