Danish housing market sees broad rise in regional sales

New data from Boligsiden indicates a significant rise in house and terraced house sales across various Danish municipalities between July 2025 and July 2026. Birgit Daetz, housing economist and communications director at Boligsiden, noted that the activity is widely distributed throughout the country, which she views as a sign of a functioning housing market.

The largest percentage increases in sales were recorded in Faxe Municipality (68%), Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality (53%), and Nordfyns Municipality (47%). Other smaller municipalities, including Haderslev, Varde, and Ikast-Brande, also saw increases exceeding 30%.

Daetz suggests that rising property prices in larger cities may be driving buyers toward outlying areas, where they can receive more value for their money. This trend is supported by favorable commuting locations and lower prices in these regions.
