Danske Skoleelever report highlights student demands
A new report titled ‘Hørt’, published by Danske Skoleelever and the Center for Elevrådgivning, outlines the perspectives and priorities of students and student councils across Denmark.
According to the findings, students expressed clear desires for shorter school days and improved conditions regarding school food. Additionally, many student councils are calling for greater involvement in their own teaching and instruction.
The report focuses on six key themes: the influence of student councils, involvement in teaching, the structure of the school day, physical environments, well-being, and mobile phone regulations. Madicken Luther, chairperson of Danske Skoleelever, stated that while the results are not surprising, the report provides decision-makers with better insight into student priorities to encourage more meaningful student involvement.
