Darijana Filipović urges constitutional equality for Bosnia's stability

In a panel discussion in Split, Darijana Filipović – a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and deputy chair of the HDZ BiH – said Bosnia can be stable and secure only if it upholds the constitutional principle of equality among its three constituent peoples. She stressed that political dialogue, strengthening institutions and a parliamentary procedure in the House of Peoples to guarantee legitimate Croat representation are essential. Filipović linked these reforms to Bosnia’s European Union prospects, noting that continued rule of law, functional institutions and access to EU funds are vital for accession.

An accompanying opinion piece titled “Psihodelija AVNOJ‑a” argues that Bosnia’s historical marginalisation, ethnic‑supremacist structures and the legacy of early‑20th‑century arrangements have prevented the country from becoming a normal democratic state. The author contends that these deep‑rooted issues continue to hinder progress and integration.
