Dark Matter season 2 to premiere on Apple TV+ in August

Apple TV+ has announced the second season of the science fiction thriller ‘Dark Matter’, scheduled to premiere on August 28. The series, based on the bestselling novel by Blake Crouch, will feature ten episodes released weekly through October 30.

While the first season followed physicist Jason Dessen as he navigated alternative realities caused by a mysterious Box, the second season will depart from the original novel's plot to explore new territory. The story picks up after the Dessen family attempts to settle into a seemingly safe world, only to face new threats from parallel universes.

The cast includes Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, and Alice Braga. The new season will delve into Jason’s deepening obsession with the Box, Daniela’s growing paranoia, and Charlie’s search for stability, while other characters attempt to find their way home or pursue visions of a perfect world.
