Transgender activist Sanjana Singh Kinnar entered the race on a Bharatiya Gan Warta Party ticket, bringing issues of transgender representation into the campaign narrative. A total of 22 candidates, including a NOTA option, will contest the poll scheduled for July 30, with vote counting set for August 3. The contest is viewed as a prestige battle in the politically sensitive Bundelkhand region.
