Daulton Varsho sidelined by wrist injury

Houston Astros outfielder Daulton Varsho is sidelined with a left wrist injury, missing his second consecutive game. The injury has impacted the team as they compete for the American League West title.

Reports indicate that Varsho has been dealing with two cysts on his wrist that caused inflammation and discomfort, particularly when swinging at low pitches. Notably, Varsho revealed he had been playing through this issue for approximately three months, dating back to before his trade from the Toronto Blue Jays to the Astros in August.

Since joining Houston, Varsho has struggled offensively, batting .172 with five home runs and 14 RBIs in 41 games. His absence comes at a critical juncture in the final week of the regular season.
